1. What are the minimum session requirements? We suggest at least two-three sessions a week. The minimum amount of time for each session is one hour.
2. Does Quest for knowledge Tutoring Services do any assessment tests? Yes, A New K-12th grade Reading and Math Pre-and Post assessment test is used to assess/diagnose student needs and identify skill and knowledge gaps.
3. Does Quest for Knowledge Tutoring Service supply any materials for the tutoring sessions? Yes, Utilizing the students test results, with input on additional goals or areas for improvement received from the students, parent(s) and teacher(s)/school, a Student Individual Learning Plan (ISLP) is created. Curriculum materials are purchased for students based on the students assessment test results. However, the student can bring their schoolbooks notes previous test and any other materials they are working on in their class that relates to the subject we are tutoring.
4. Where are tutoring sessions held? Quest for Knowledge Tutoring Service comes to you. We come to you at your convenience in your home or the closet library to your home or a community center or school. A parent or guardian over the age of 21 must be at home for the entire tutoring session.
5. Will it take a long time to be assigned a tutor? No, The Program Coordinator and/or Manager will meet or contact the parents and student. A tutor will be selected to work with your child. We will contact the tutor and review the information with the tutor. Then we will call you to tell you about the tutor we have selected to work with your child. The tutor will at that time call you to introduce themselves, get directions to your home and meet with you so you both can initiate a working schedule.
